When I made my first cake for my husbands office Halloween party, I never thought it would expand into a passion. I had dabbled in a cake decorating class to keep myself busy while my now husband was deployed to Iraq. That was 4 years ago and today, it now means something more to me. More than just a hobby, I find myself coming up with any excuse to bake a cake or make a batch of cupcakes. It is this reason that I have decided to share my passion with others! Well August came and went and I can hardly believe it is September already. I haven't been too busy in the kitchen lately due to getting prepared for my husbands deployment in January. I did have a chance, last week, to bake some cupcakes for one very special person in my life, my mom. We celebrated her birthday with some coworkers on Friday and took off the AZ shortly after for her weekend birthday celebration. Happy Birthday Mom!
The cupcakes turned out very cute, but what made them was this gorgeous cake stand I got at Lamps Plus (of all places). Let me know what you think. Until next time!
